iTouch App's-new review

posted Sunday, 28 June 2009

I received another belated Graduation gift of an iTunes gift card, so this morning I've been searching and downloading some new iTouch apps.

First up, the 3.0 software update- it kinda stinks that I had to pay $9.99 for it and I haven't seen any instanteous results, but I'm still playing around with it. It would be nice if I could find a FAQ page to explain the new & groovy stuff....

The next app I bought was the "Affirmations for the Everyday Goddess" by IlluninationSoft, Inc. http://wisdomtitles.com/featured-authors-menu/pamelawells Very beautiful artwork, and the meditations on the backs of the cards go in depth. They also provide some guidance on what one should think of when meditating on that card. For $3.99 the artwork alone is worth the price, drawn by award winning artist Pamela Wells.

Up next is some Free Comics: I downloaded Sabrina: Manga #1 & Archie yeah, Archie!! LOL  iVerse Media is pretty sneaky, they give you the first issue free - which is a full comic not just a smattering of images; and then when you're hooked. You pay for the other issues, however at .99 cents each for a full comic not to shabby!
I have downloaded the entire Reality Check comics. They also have a huge selection for all tastes, including the Star Trek: Countdown series. http://www.iversecomics.com/

Next is the Virtual Pet even I haven't killed yet. LOL http://www.foopets.com/ In iTunes you have a choice of Marley-cute yellow lab puppy or Tuxedo the b&w Kitten. Now which one do you think I own? Yes, and for .99 cents he's adorable! To much fun and no fuss no muss. lol

For the Trekkies

Oh yeah, what kind of Scifi Geeka would I be without some Star Trek App's!

Up first is the Tricorder TR-580 this is soo much fun and at only .99 cents-worth the giggles. Everytime I 'scan' my dad it comes back that he's a Borg. LOL But seriously the library part of this app connects with Wikipedia and that is very impressive in a .99 cent app! True you could do it for free via the Google App, but well you'll just have to see what I mean. go here to read about it & ooh upgraded version: http://www.javaworks.de/page58/page59/page59.html

Special thanks goes to Captain34 for the "recommendation" on this app! It's a bit more $2.99 yet you won't believe what you get for that! All Star Trek shows, with info, pix and more. Go here for the more in-depth info: http://www.sabberworm.com/daxhotel

and finally who hasn't wanted their own Phaser??

Released before the new movie to jazz up interest- the Star Trek Phaser & it's Free! Mostly it's a game, yet I use it just for fun- "Zappp" LOL Destressing toy!http://www.startrekmovie.com/

Well that's it for now...more of M'Chel's reviews later. I do hope that some of these are helpful, I hate buying app's and then deleting them, because the reviewers/ ratings are done by friends of the developers. I am getting NO money from this and definitely NO Free apps. I do this cause well- I don't want to see someone spending good money on a bad App!

& Yes, I will do my "Stinkers" List here shortly.

Have a great day!
