Re: Engagement of hostile ships
      Repairs of Phase Canon

During the course of the interrogation of the Suliban prisoner, Silik. He informed Lieutenant Sato, Sergeant Mayweather and myself that a swarm of Suliban vessels were heading to engage the Avenger.

I contacted the Duty Officer on the bridge Lieutenant Smith who confirmed the Intel.

Lieutenant Sato and Sergeant Mayweather stayed with the prisoner to continue questioning. I left for the bridge.

Arriving on the bridge I took responsibility to engage the hostile vessels as the Senior Officer/Tactical Officer. The tactical status of the Avenger was unknown.

The Comm Officer, Ensign Johnson engaged the jamming field, and informed me that the Suliban were arguing over first shot. I solved their dilemma by engaging them first.

A total of six shots were needed to neutralize the threat, as I engaged the dual targeting system.

One Suliban vessel tried a ramming attack, I fired and it exploded. However reports from the Armory stated some of the debris hit and did minor damage to the phase canon. Repairs are currently underway.

Of the final three vessels, two of them tried a firing run and failed, the other tried to escape the fight-probably to communicate to others, also failed.

Comm Officer Ensign Johnson confirmed no communications made it out of the area. Returned Conn to Lieutenant Smith and returned for further interrogation of the prisoner.

Lieutenant Sato's methods were quite effiecient as Silik broke and started talking.

The recordings are secure and being evaluated, I will forward all confirmed Intel as soon as possible.

Potential Intel will be investigated by Major Reed, upon his return, and myself.

Other Notes of Interest:

Doctor Phlox's hypo-spray proved effective for the course of the interrogation. Approximately 1.5 hours.  Silik is still alive for medical observation and further questioning.

Recommendations:

Empire Medical Colony on Denobula for further research on Suliban physiology.
